Moongdal Rice

Cereals & Pulses add a good nutritional benefits to our health. Then, why couldn't we add pulses to rice and make a dish which would be a good food for our health. I had a good meal plan with regards to it.

Now let's look over for the meal here.

Ingredients: 

Rice - 1 cup
Moong Dal - 1 cup
Black Pepper - 10(Powdered)
Curry leaves 
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tbs
Ginger - 1 inch(Make it to pieces)
Green Chili - 6
Coriander Powder - 1 tbs
Coriander leaves 

Directions :

  • Take a bowl and mix Rice and Moongdal. Then clean this mixture with water twice and add 1 : 3 ratio of water and cook the mixture. Add Coriander powder to the rice and make it cook for 10 min more.
  • Now take a pan and add 3 tbs of oil, when hot add chili slices, black pepper, cumin seeds, ginger and  curry leaves. Make it fry and add this mixture to the rice. Add coriander leaves for garnish.
  • Serve hot with ghee.
