Preparation of Veg Kichidi

Ingradients:

Rice - 1 cup
Moong Dal - 1/2 Cup
Bengal Gram -2 tbls
Garam Masala - 1/2 tbs
Black Pepper - Pinch
Potato - 2
Tomato - 3
Brinjal - 4
Green Chilli  -4
Onion -2
cooking oil - 3 tbs
Salt - As per your taste.


Directions:

  • Mix Rice, Moong Dal & Bengal Gram in a bowl and clean with water twice. Add 1 : 3 ratio of water to the mixture and keep it aside.
  • Cut the vegetables and keep it aside.
  • Take a pan and add oil to it. Heat the oil and add garam masala to it. After one minute, add the vegetables to the pan. Make the vegetables boil in a small flame.
  • After 10 minutes, add a pinch of black pepper to it. Stir the vegetables in the pan. Add salt to it. Make the mixture cook to a medium extent.
  • Add this vegetable mixture to the rice and make it cook.
  • Serve hot with ghee which adds an extra taste.
