VEG DAL RICE



Ingredients:

Rice        -              1 cup
Chana Dal            -              2 tbs
Vegetables
Carrot   -              2 Nos
Potato  -              2 Nos
Beans    -              4 Nos
Peas      -              2 tbs
Green chilli  – 2 Nos
Onion    -    1
Curry leaves, 
Coriander leaves, 
Coriander Powder
Cumin seeds, 
Red chilli, 
Mustard seeds,
Garlic cloves.
Oil
Salt for taste.

Preparation:

Take a pressure cooker, add oil to it. 
When hot add 2 red chilli, Mustard seeds, cumin seeds and curry leaves to it.
Now add green chilli to it, after 2 sec add sliced onion and make them fry.
Now add all vegetables, garlic cloves to the pan and stir it for 2 minutes. 
Now add salt and coriander powder to it (for taste) and fry for 5 minutes in slow flame.
Add water at about one and half cup for one cup of rice. 
After adding water add rice to it. Stir it well for one minute and close the cooker.
Make this cook for 3 sound whisles.
After 15 minutes open the cooker and see the veg dal rice is ready to serve.
Add coriander leaves on the top for garnish.
You can serve for children without combination.

Combination : Pickles, Chutneys
and curd.
