Tamilnadu Idly Preparation

Ingradients:

Ullutham paruppu - 1 Cup [Black Gram/Minapappu]
Steamed Rice - 3 Cups

Directions:

  • Take a bowl, add Black Gram and Steamed Rice to it. Rinse it with water for 2 - 3 times. Now add water and keep it aside for 3 hrs.
  • Now grind the content in grinder/mixer by adding sufficient salt to it.
  • Keep it aside for 4-5 hours.
  • Now take a idly pan, apply ghee to it, add the mixture on the pan and close it.
  • Keep this pan on the stove in a big flame for 5 minutes, and 15 minutes on a small flame. 
  • You can now check the Idly is ready.
  • You can serve this with hot Sambar and Chutney.
